Title: Managing Stress, Thoughts, and Emotions with Mindfulness
Description: How to live more in the present moment? How to better manage stress and anxiety? This workshop offers breathing techniques and concrete tips to help you do just that. Laurence also demystifies what mindfulness meditation is and the workshop includes a guided meditation.
Accompanied by a Power Point.
Title: The Basics of Mindfulness Meditation
Description: The goal of this training is to motivate participants to integrate 6 to 10 minutes of mindfulness meditation into their daily lives, leading to concrete changes in their professional and personal lives. In addition to the theoretical aspect, which will be presented using a Power Point presentation, the training will of course include a practical aspect: participants will experience three different guided meditations.
A summary is sent to participants after the course.
Title: Yuan Qi Gong Discovery Workshop
Description: The first half of this workshop is an introduction to this approach using a Power Point. In the second half, we’ll try Method 1, which consists of slow, fluid movements mainly of the arms. The movements are done standing with shoes on, and the feet remain in the same position on the floor. No special equipment is needed.
Some describe Qi Gong as moving meditation and find it easier than sitting meditation. The practice leads to relaxation and increased vitality.
Guided meditation session 35-45 min
Whether participants have previous meditation experience or not, these sessions provide immediate benefits:
- less mental agitation
- less physical tension
- greater well-being
- greater mental clarity and focus
Approximate sequence: Introduction, 20-minute guided meditation, feedback. Typically, a 35-minute session is best for videoconferencing, and a 45-minute session is best for in-person sessions.
"As part of our health conferences, we fell in love with you and the subject matter, which was greatly appreciated by the staff! Thank you so much!"
"The guided meditation session offered by Zoom in French and then in English was appreciated by all our employees in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, from technicians to office workers. Laurence makes meditation accessible to everyone. The introduction with some background information was very useful, and the session was not too long, which allowed everyone to participate fully."
"We received excellent feedback after your conference! The content of your presentation was very well structured, interesting, and most importantly, allowed everyone to leave with concrete exercises to practice on a daily basis."
What is Qi Gong ?
There are different forms of Qi Gong (Qi is pronounced “tchi”), just as there are different forms of dance or martial arts. Yuan Qi Gong from the Ren Xue School is the form I teach. I’ve tried other approaches, but this is by far the one I prefer. It’s a system that includes four methods in which you make slow, flowing movements while standing, and four still, meditative methods, including one that helps open the heart.
In addition to bringing great relaxation, this Qi Gong practice also brings greater vitality. The movements help relieve tension in the back and shoulders, and reduce stiffness in the joints. It also helps to reduce mental agitation. Overall, the practice of Qi Gong promotes mental, emotional and physical health.
